The Caribbean Aquaculture Education Hub is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable aquaculture practices across the Caribbean. Our mission is to educate communities, support sustainable farming methods, and foster a deeper understanding of aquaculture’s role in food security and environmental conservation.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and passionate intern to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in environmental science, marine biology, sustainable aquaculture and climate resiliency. The intern will be responsible for writing and publishing one blog post per month, focusing on various aspects of aquaculture, sustainability, and education in the Caribbean context.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation: Research and write engaging, relevant and informative blog posts on topics related to aquaculture, sustainability, and education.
Research: Conduct thorough research using credible sources to support blog content.
SEO Optimization: Incorporate SEO best practices to increase the visibility of blog posts.
Collaboration: Work closely with the program director to brainstorm topics and review content.
Editing: Proofread and edit content to ensure high-quality, error-free publications.
Engagement: Assist in promoting blog posts through social media and other channels to increase reach and engagement.
Qualifications
Education: Recent undergraduate in communications, journalism, or a related field.
Writing Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough and credible research.
Passion: Strong interest in aquaculture, sustainability, and environmental education.
Skills: Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), SEO, and social media platforms is a plus.
Self-motivated: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
